About
I am a photojournalist and documentary photographer based in Vilnius, Lithuania. My journey has been shaped by a blend of experiences, including a professional background in figure skating, studies in film and Persian language, and nearly a decade of travel spanning destinations from Nouakchott to Jakarta and from Helsinki to Khartoum.
I am an alumnus of FAMU (the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) and Middlesex University in London. I am a member of the Lithuanian Photographers' Association and the Lithuanian Journalists' Union. I recently completed the VII Academy Masterclass in Narrative and Documentary photography with Philip Blenkinsop. In 2021, I joined Redux Pictures as a contributing photographer.
My work has been featured in publications such as GEO, The Guardian, Le Monde, Stern Magazine, Libération, Le Figaro, De Standaard, La Vie, NRC Handelsblad, Lonely Planet, The Calvert Journal, NARA, Chai Khana, The Sun Magazine, and the Royal Photographic Society Journal, among others. Currently, I am based in Vilnius, where, in addition to taking on photo assignments and working on personal projects I also work as a local fixer. My recent clients include Sky News, TV2 Norway, RAI, ARTE, Radiotelevisione Svizzera, Danish broadcasters DR and TV2, TT News Agency (Sweden), Aftonbladet, NRC Handelsblad, Le Monde, Dagens Nyheter, Weekendavisen, and Libération.
